It is difficult to describe how much education can affect a family in India.
Through the education of one or more children, a whole family can experience an overall rise in quality of life. Education means an increase in job opportunities, more income and access to healthcare. Girls who are educated beyond a basic level get married at an older age (16+ instead of 13+) and the life expectancy of their children increases.
Our indian partners, The United Christian Church of Undia (UCCI) run six residential schools accomodating over 1,500 children ranging from 4 to over 20 years of age.
The Child Sponsorship Scheme is simple.
Your monthly donation of £15 will care for a child giving them and their family a hope for the future. In return, you get regular updates from UCCI on the growth and development of the child.
(No administrative cost is deducted from the sponsorship money.)
If you would like to support a child simply complete the linked form and return it to Frontline Development at the address given. You can also give regularly to the general work of UCCI or make a one off donation which helps purchase of school books, building maintenance and teacher salaries.
If you are a tax payer, by signing the Gift Aid declaration we can claim 28p back from the Government for every £1 you give.
If do not wish to sponsor an individual child you can still support the work of UCCI by contributing to a central fund which aids in the purchase of school books, building maintainance, teacher and doctors salaries.
The Costs are kept to an absolute minimum and are currently £15 per month. This reflects the fact that we currently have no administration charges – all costs are paid for by CFC central funds or volunteers.
